Modern Art Museum

When you think of Texas, Do you think of modern art? Well, you should. It’s not all cowboys and cattle ranches in Texas. Dallas-Fort Worth is the 4th-largest metropolitan area in the United States and has a huge modern artist community.

My own city, Forth Worth, has an amazing art museum, simply named “The Modern”, located at 3200 Darnell St in the Fort Worth Cultural District. It is the oldest art museum in Texas and has a stunning glass-and-concrete building designed by Tadao Ando. It has rotating featured exhibits (example they had Sean Scully, who is possibly my favorite artist), vintage film night, a restaurant, and it’s absolutely free on Fridays. The first Friday of every month also has live music, food, drink specials, and a gallery tour starting at 6:30 PM.

If you ever make it to Fort Worth, The Modern is a must see! ❤️R
